Nir Ben Lavi is an innovation evangelist and investor, Strategic Advisor of multinational companies, industry leaders, Fortune500 companies and various holding groups, head of the joint innovation program at Bosphorus University, Turkey, Global Director of Innovation for the Adizes Institute, founder of AgroNation investment house and CEO of the HYPE sport-tech accelerators in developing countries.
Nir did close-to-impossible innovation until his late thirties. He was appointed to his first managerial position at age 25, and combined it with intensive R&D work, as an innovator and a Predictive Profiler in one of the most demanding academies in the world – the Israel Ministry of Defense. This experience provided Nir with invaluable knowledge of the problems and opportunities of managing businesses and innovating in challenging environments. First Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine
In the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine since April, 14 2016 Stepan Kubiv is responsible for macroeconomic stabilization and economic reforms. He oversees the work of Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food. As a First Vice Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv is also responsible for Government’s relations with the Parliament.
Stepan Kubiv was born on March 19, 1962, in Western Ukraine.
He majored in mathematics (1984) and finance (2002). Mr Kubiv also holds a PhD. in Economics (2006).
Before starting his political career in 2012, Stepan Kubiv was one of the most successful top managers in Ukrainian banking sector. He served as a Chairman of “KredoBank” (owned by Polish capital) for 8 years. During his governance, a little local bank became an all-Ukrainian financial institution. Later on Stepan Kubiv became a People’s Deputy of Verkhovna Rada (2012-2014), a Head of the National Bank of Ukraine and a member of Council on National Security and Defense of Ukraine (Feb-June 2014), a President’s representative in the Parliament of Ukraine (2015-2016).
During the Revolution of Dignity (2014 Ukrainian Revolution), Stepan Kubiv acted as a commandant of key buildings, seized by anti-government protesters.
Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine
Liliia Hrynevych is a Ukrainian politician and Ukraine's Minister of Education and Science since 14 April 2016.
From 2006 to 2009, Hrynevych headed the Kiev City State Administration's education department. Representing Fatherland, she was elected to the Verkhovna Rada during the 2012 Ukrainian parliamentary election. She served as the chair of the Parliamentary Committee for Science and Education. Placing 9th on the party list of People's Front, she was re-elected in the 2014 parliamentary election.
For many years, 1987 to 2002, she worked in secondary education in Ukraine as a teacher, deputy headmistress and headmistress in a number of Lviv schools. She was one of the founders of the Ukrainian Centre for Educational Quality Assessment, of which she was the Director from February to August 2006, focusing her efforts on the development of External Independent Assessment at a national level. Her political career began with the political party "Front for Change", as an advisor to party leader Arseniy Yatsenyuk on education. In 2012 she was elected as an MP to the Ukrainian Parliament leading the Parliamentary Committee for Science and Education, of which she was the Head until 2016. She has been awarded a Commander of the Order of Princess Olha degree, and has been awarded an "Excellence in Education of Ukraine" medal. She is an Honorary Senator of the Ukrainian Catholic University.
